1. Introduction
Who has never dreamed about travel, adventure and liberty? We all have within us the desire for freedom. Go, leave everything behind and go where we want, where the wind takes us, where the
boring city life gives way to Adventure with a capital A. But then, we're all afraid... Afraid of the unknown, and afraid to lose our security. The job security, the money, the comfort of home,
and everything that makes us model citizens.
Ah, if it could be easier! Go and leave everything! If only it could be so simple. But maybe it's not so complicated after all. Maybe you just have to cross the doorstep, leave everything behind.
Yes, maybe it's just a small decision to take, and then your life changes completely. Well, I have taken that decision. I did it and now I'm going to live a great adventure!
2. What?
Go away for the adventure is fine, but you should know what to do, where to go and how to get there. Therefore after so much reflection, so much research and a bunch of peanuts swallowed, I
finally decided to go for a long trip on foot around Europe. No less than 20 countries will be crossed by our feet, including a lot of discovery and unforgettable meetings. Of course, to cross so
many countries on foot is not like going to the local supermarket. It can take time. Personally I didn't set a time limit in particular. I want to take the time to appreciate every moment, every
landscape and enjoy my meetings sharing the cultures and learning more about our European neighbors. However, I think that it will take two years more or less
3. Where? Europe?
I decided to start this adventure in Europe for various reasons. I could have done the tour of Asia, America or just a tour of our city, but to cross countries and borders, it's not without
constraints, and constraints, I don't like that. I want to travel as freely as possible, without problems about visas and time limits. And fortunately, I live in a union called the EUROPEAN
UNION.

The European Union? What's that? A cult?
The European Union is the economic and political association of 27 countries belonging to the European continent. Thanks to the Schengen area, which allows to any citizen of the European
Union to move freely in the member countries, we don't need visas. In addition, sixteen of these countries use the "euro" as single currency, so we don't need to make the currency
change.
I'm fortunate to live on a continent where borders are just waiting for to be crossed, then why not? After all, Europe is nice. There are beautiful countries to visit, beautiful cultures to discover and it's not so far. I don't need to take 50 planes to go around. A backpack, feet and here I go!
4. How? On foot?
I plan to do this trip around Europe on foot for various reasons. I could have done it by plane, train or scooter, but it's no so fun. And we like challenges and
adventure, so what better way to travel on foot as in the good old days. In addition, traveling on foot allows us to move forward at a human pace, but also to promote human contact. Do people
stop you when you travel by car, for a coffee or just to chat? Unthinkable! However, a guys walking with a big backbag it's something more curious and it often leads to dialogue and that's what I
want, discuss exchange, share and learn.

5. Why?
And why not? Why do not live our dreams, even they are crazy? Why do not feel free at least once in our life, without rule or standard? Why wait until tomorrow?
Tomorrow does not exist, and yesterday is already gone. So if we can do something, it's NOW! Time for dreams is over, now it's time to realize them. And that's what I intend to do. Enjoy the
present moment to realize my dreams so that tomorrow I can say "it's good I did it" rather than "it's bad, I should have done it." That's why I have created my adventure, and now I'm going to
live it and share with you.
It will be an human adventure, which will allow me to meet new people with whom I'll exchange and share my cultures. Because
Europe is made of different cultures, each with its own history and its own traditions. What better way to understand these people that immersing ourselves among them and sharing their daily
life? It's important to learn about other people, it teaches us and contributes to change our world view.
It will be also a personal adventure, because I'll have my own experience, and I'm going to discover myself, my capacities, physical and mental, as well as my limits, because of course this won't be always easy. I think I'll be severely tested, and will confront my own true opponent, that's to say MYSELF!
Why this blog?
This blog is a place for sharing. I hope to share this incredible journey with you, and maybe rekindle that tiny spark in you, so that you could also leave one day.
For this I will take you to discover the different countries I'll cross, people and their cultures. I'll share my adventures and misadventures as well as my meetings with photos and some videos.
And of course you are also free to share your thoughts, your opinions, reactions, in short, your freedom of expression.
Enjoy the trip!
